Adhesives & Vehicle Pre spaced lettering (DIY)
We supply any signage for vehicles or you can order DIY panels in many sizes, the main one's are featured in our website is (600x600mm) most car doors are a minimum 900mm. However, not all car doors are the same, so measure yours! Leave enough space around the intended panel mindful of creases, door handles, runner bars etc., So what are these panels and how do I place them on my tuition vehicle (see below) They are made from long-life vinyl adhesive and can be removed before sale of the vehicle. The standard size is 600 x 600 mm (24" x 24") approx. which is suitable for most vehicle doors. Other sizes can be cut on request if your require a specific size, colour or logo etc., simply use the "customer area at the checkout" beyond the point of sale and we will get back to you with a price or for more information
Is semi permanent panels difficult to apply
No. however, you should proceed with caution, follow the instructions and ideally be protected from the elements. You must ensure the surface to which the vinyl is to be applied is clean and free of dust, grit and ice before applying. Larger decals and pre-spaced vinyl lettering are supplied on a backing paper on the reverse of the vinyl and application tape on the face of the vinyl.
There are two main methods of applying vinyl:
Method 1: Part fill a washing up bowl or similar with cold water and add some washing up liquid.
Agitate the water to create a bubble bath effect.
Scoop off the bubbles and spread over the area where the vinyl is to be placed.
Remove the backing paper from the vinyl and dispose of it carefully.
Lay the vinyl adhesive side down on the film of bubbles.
Once in the desired position you will need a plastic ruler or similar such as a spatula.
Working from the centre out, use the edge of the ruler to squeeze the bubbles from underneath the vinyl towards the edges, continue until all the bubbles have been removed. Remove application tape if present. Allow 24 hours to dry
Method 2:
Mix about half a litre of cold water and a drop of washing up liquid in a small spray bottle (such as one used for spraying plants).
Wet the roof surface with a water spray where the sheet is to be placed.
Remove the backing paper from the vinyl and dispose of it carefully.
Lay the vinyl adhesive side down on the film of bubbles.
Once in the desired position you will need a plastic ruler or similar, such as a spatula.
Working from the centre out, use the edge of the ruler to squeeze the bubbles from underneath the vinyl towards the edges, continue until all the bubbles have been removed. Remove application tape if present. Allow 24 hours to dry
Proofs: We can supply an electronic image showing the layout of your sign provided that we have a valid e-mail address for you. We will only supply proofs on request and only after a credit/debit card payment for your order has been processed. Allow 3 clear working days for a proof to be sent. Your order will not proceed until we have confirmation that you are happy with the proof and any amendments. If you would like a proof please ask in the Additional Customer Information at the Checkout when ordering. Note: If you cancel an order after a proof has been prepared, an artwork charge of €25 will be deducted from any refund
How to Measure Adhesive Lettering with a Background Colour.
Select what you want to say in your vehicle panel advertising, jot it down and forward it to us through the "query this product facility"
Adhesive panels can be printed on a background of white,coloured or clear vinyl. If you want clear vinyl, remember that the colour of your vehicle will affect the colour appearance on the panel. Please ask our advice when ordering. Once you've chosen your sign, decide on the level of finish you require and give personalised information in the “customer information area” at the checkout where you can tell us the detail, fonts, recommended text “Ariel Bold” or similar and colour required before the item is added to your shopping basket. Or simply let us select the best option for your text information. We use a high quality long-life gloss vinyl for our signage.

Please enter the detail required in the layout that you want. Please ensure that spelling is correct and that capitalisation is used where required. If you want a particular font, please tell us the font name otherwise we will use Arial Bold or similar as standard. Where appropriate please tell us the colour required for each line of text.

- Give us the overall size of the panel (without door handles etc, then centre the area e.g. move in the same distance from the other side as the door handle and measure it.
- Ideally cut a piece of clear paper and tack it on to the area in question. Happy!
- Then take the paper and consider the text you want, the size of it and the background & text colour/ s (max two).
- Give us the actual size of the paper.
- This will be your background size and select a background colour, contrast this colour with your tuition vehicle colour! i.e. Got a black car, then consider silver or white background!
- Now select the text colour.
- Forward this information to us and we will do the rest. i.e. text size justification typeface (unless you have a preference)
- You then get your text on your background colour with your message.
- Comes with fitting instructions or go to the "Product Information Section of our Website (home page) for more information and fitting instructions.
